Gift Based Ministry

A "Ministry Opportunities Booklet" is available in the church office. Each family in the church is encouraged to pick up one copy from the church office. This booklet contains information regarding the various "ministry opportunities" available through our church. Every member of Rolesville Baptist Church is a minister. God has given each of us a gift that is to be used for the building of God's Kingdom. What is your "Christian Vocation?" Are you using your gift? Pick up a copy of the booklet and prayerfully consider a place of service.

All Christians are called to serve God and to minister with their God-given gifts. Gifts-based ministry is designed to utilize teams to minister to church families and others according to their needs at a given time. Every church member is encouraged to be involved in a "shared ministry" with the pastor, staff, and people. Here are a few of the opportunities available:

GROW Ministry involves serving one-hour each month on Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m.  This outreach ministry involves sending cards, contacting recent guests who request a visit, making phone contacts, etc.

Hospitality ministry greets every newcomer and visitor, helps them find the most suitable class, and provides other information and support.

Carolina House ministry offers a worship service to the Wake Forest assisted living facility in their dining hall on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 8:30 a.m. A time of prayer, Christian music, and a short devotion is shared.

Hospital Visitation ministry lives out the meaning of Jesus' words "I was sick, and you visited me." (Matthew 25:36)

Bereavement ministry looks after the special needs of families and individuals during times of grieving the loss of loved ones.

Home repairs ministry provides practical handyman repairs for emergency situations and hardship circumstances.

Tape ministry provides audio tapes/CD's of  Wednesday Night Adult Bible Studies, Sunday Morning Worship Services, and Sunday School lessons free of charge. Members carry tapes/CD's to our homebound and nursing home members.
